Problem with audio player
-
Hi.
I recently upgraded to allow the embedded audio player. I have been going through my blog and editing my posts so that my podcast files now work in the player. I have my own server space, but occasionally upload to the server space I pay for from WordPress (not often, though, as my shows are longer than that which seems to work that way).
Although most work fine, lately one track in ten seems to give me an ‘error opening file’ message. Others in the same format, directory, etc. will work fine. The ‘download’ link I provide will also play the track, but not the player.
I have checked the code so many times that I am certain it’s not a missed character, space or anything else.
Anybody ever hear of this?
Also, once it made the beginning of one of my shows really distorted. The direct link played fine, but the first ten minutes of my show through the flash player sounded like a damaged, fluttering cassette tape.Any pointers would be most appreciated.

Suggestion number 1: try uploading a copy of the mp3 without spaces or other punctuation in the title.

thank you. They are a bit of a mess. I have in recent years simplified my file naming convention.
I’ll try that and then reply as to the results, for other people’s edification.
Much obliged! -
OK!
That seemed to do it!
That ridiculously long filename must’ve made it choke.
I will make sure that doesn’t happen anymore.
Thanks again!
