Problem with audio player – Change of appearance / size

  Today for no apparent reason the audio player in my blog has changed appearance ie longer. This has made my site look very untidy. Is it something that I have inadvertently done or is it at your end ? How do I get my blog to look the way it did before this change.

  Hi Pete,

  Currently, it isn’t possible to change the width of the audio shortcode. The shortcode will automatically expand to fit the full width of your content column. You could do it through CSS, but that would require the purchase of the Custom Design upgrade shown here:

  Thanks for the information
  For future reference / feedback may I suggest that customers are informed of planned changes before they are implemented. First I heard about this was when someone looking at my site emailed me that my website looked a mess and was unusable !

  Hi Pete,

  I completely understand your frustration. We try to notify users of larger changes since we’re constantly committing and working on WordPress.com. This one may have fallen through the cracks. I appreciate the feedback!
