Problem with Auto posting to Facebook

My company recently updated our blog to the most recent version of WordPress and are experiencing issues with auto-posting to Facebook. We had the NextScripts SNAP plugin installed and that was pushing content to Facebook even though we deselected the Facebook option for each new post. But when even that wasn’t working properly, we removed the API altogether. Then, even after removing the API, content was still being pushed to FB that we didn’t want, so we deactivated the entire plugin. BUT! Even after deactivating the plugin itself, content was still being pushed to FB. The reason we didn’t want the content pushed to FB is because the meta data was showing up in large amounts of text and would then say something like ‘200 more words’ afterwards. So now, I’m under the impression, of course, that the NextScripts plugin is not to blame, but WP is (and the update to version 5.0 likely behind the issue because it never used to do this). Does anyone know how I can potentially fix this? I’ve looked all over the back-end and can’t find anything that would remotely be related to auto posting to social.
