Problem with Badges
-
Good Morning WordPress Help Team,
I am trying to upload a couple of badges onto my blog; a FB badge and a badge from another blog site, and when I attempt to save the badge codes (I believe both are in html code) into my widgets, there is no place to enter HTML…the widget asks for the URL code…..
I’m also attempting to upload the FB badge code into the FB Like widget, but again, the pop-up asks for an URL code instead of an html code. I copy and try to paste the code, but, as soon as I hit enter, the pasted code disappears. I am new to all of this blogging and linking stuff, so, I’m sure I’m doing something wrong., but there aren’t enough instructions or troubleshooting on this subject for me to figure out on my own.
Thanks for your consideration and I look forward to hearing the solution.

Hi there,
If you’ve been given some HTML code, then you’ll need to enter that in to a Text Widget rather than the Facebook widget. The text widget allows you to enter either plain text or html code, so should allow you to put in this html.
If you’re still having problems, go ahead and send the code to me here and I’ll take a look at it, see what might be going wrong!

Hi, Amightywp! (OK–do you like A Mighty Wind?–Love Christoper Guest!) Thank you so much for the answer–now I will know how to work with badges on my blog page! I was able to get both badges to upload to my blog and look the way they are supposed to look.
Thanks again! Very much appreciated! Happy Friday!!
Best,
Shari

Heya,
You’re more than welcome! I quite like Christopher Guest myself, but it’s actually a weird inside joke . . . I should honestly probably change my username but it is such a hassle that I keep not doing it! ;)
Have a great week!
