Problem with blog email images on an IPad in Gmail

My blog posts are image-based. The last 4 emails of posts have arrived on my IPad via Gmail without the image. The image uploaded and shows on the site. I also have it sent to my BTInternet email, and it shows up there. The image shows up in my Gmail account on my laptop and my phone. It just seems to be on the IPad it doesn’t show up.
I have no idea if the Image is showing to my subscribers.
Any suggestions welcome!

This suggests it could be a problem with the gmail setting. Maybe you just have images turned off on the iPad?
