Problem with categories

Could someone help me out? I’m new both to blogging and to WordPress. My Dashboard says I have 22 categories, but I actually have only 18… Also, when I hit the categories links on the sidebar I get 404 messages.
I thought of deleting and re-creating all categories, but I dread at having to reasign posts to categories, one by one…
The blog is antigoldgreece.wordpress.com (in greek) and I’m using cutline.
Help, please!

The 404 (or other similar messages, depending on the template) are a general problem, and may happen not only with categories but post titles as well. Some of us have already contacted Support and are waiting for a reply. Please refer to this thread so we can all stay in touch:

Note that all complains I’ve seen so far come from bloggers who write in either Cyrillic or Greek. -

This morning I deleted all categories, or at least I think I did… Some of the posts remain asigned to categories that are not supposed to exist any more…

We had a problem on some servers with permalinks using non-ASCII characters, which gave the 404 error message. We are sorry for the problems. This problem is fixed, but we need to manually fix any blogs that ran into this problem.
