Problem with Category Sorting

  Dear all,
  I have a problem with Category ordering.
  I want it sort by Ascending but wordpress cannot sort what i need. When i update category name then category id increase itself.

  How can i sort it from (1 -> 9), from smaller than to larger than number?

  please help me.

  I have the same problem – my blogroll is arranged by categories, and the cats with the most entries show up near the bottom of the list. I’ve been trying to figure out how to sort by Alpha order.
