Problem with change to theme Hever with interactive pages
-
Not a simple question this time, but a problem I don’t seem to be able to fix, I’ll try to explain :
When abandoning my old theme and changing it to Hever, I only kept my post page and one other page, the others I’m creating new.
I had to get rid of a few ‘old’ widgets which Hever had copied to every (also newly created) page, but that I resolved through ‘widgets’ – I hope.
But : as well on the former post page (which remains my post page also now) as on all the new pages I create, there is some content I cannot get rid of : above the footer widget there are two things : a like button and a share button – which did make some sense in the old theme because it al were interactive pages, but which are totally inappropriate on a normal sit page.
Moreover, on that second page that I kept, underneath those buttons there is written in very large characters that I am the author, ánd there are old reactions and the possibility to give new reactions, which I all don’t want because I don’t want my pages to be interactive.None of this shows up in ‘customise’, not in the widgets, not in the bloks – I see no way to edit these things.
Is there a solution to that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
above the footer widget there are two things : a like button and a share button
Like and sharing buttons are controlled per-post from within the editor.
Edit the post or page where you don’t want the buttons to be visible. Then click the green Jetpack icon you’ll see top-right of the screen. That will reveal the sharing options for the particular post/page.
Uncheck the boxes there and update the page, and the buttons will be gone.
You can also control where/how those buttons display for your site globally. For that go to Tools ->Marketing ->Sharing buttons. There you’ll see options to change which buttons appear, what style they use, and also on which types of content on the site they appear.
More info on these here:

Moreover, on that second page that I kept, underneath those buttons there is written in very large characters that I am the author, ánd there are old reactions and the possibility to give new reactions, which I all don’t want because I don’t want my pages to be interactive.
Can you tell me the title of the page? From your description this sounds like an author byline, but the only older page I see on the site is the one titled vroegere pups, and I don’t see a byline displayed there. Typically those would also only show on blog posts, not on static pages.
If by “reactions” you’re referring to the comments section, you can disable that for existing posts and pages again by editing the post/page, make sure you’re on the Post/Page tab of the editor settings sidebar, and you’ll find that setting under Discussion:
This won’t remove existing comments, only prevent new ones being added. The only way to remove existing comments, is to go to the Comments section in the dashboard, and either Unapproving or Deleting the comments from there.
To automatically have comments disabled on any new posts or pages you publish, you can change the options under Settings ->Discussion.

Thank you very much, the solution was much easier than expected, I’m rid of what I didn’t want and have learned in the meantime how to control it on new pages.

Yes, you’re right, that is the title of the page concerned, but the strange thing is : it had disappeared! I had already tried to remove it and maybe afterwards I didn’t check that page in the right way, so I didn’t see it had gone? I hope it doesn’t pop up again ;-) .
