Problem with Comments Form

I’m new to WordPress, so this may be a beginner issue. The comments form on http://txbbq.wordpress.com/ is not working properly. The form fields are grayed out and won’t allow data entry into the form. I’m the blog owner, and it won’t even allow me to fill-in form, whether logged in or not.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

That’s the way it appears in the theme, I think. I just successfully left a comment on this post:

Oh, I see what you mean. It did work for me when I just started typing. But, very confusing for readers who want to comment though. Any idea of whether I have the ability to modify that portion of the theme so it looks & works like a regular web form?
Either way, thanks so much for your reply! BTW – I’m using IE 7.

You’d need the paid CSS upgrade, but I think that would do it. Don’t buy it if you don’t already know how to do CSS coding. If I were you I’d either change the template to Neo Sapien or something or start adding a starter comment to each post, something like “just click in the grey area to make your voice heard” or whatever.

You’re welcome. I really caution you not to buy the CSS upgrade unless you know exactly what you’re doing. There are very few volunteers who know CSS and staff doesn’t offer how-to support for that.

I don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to CSS, so I’ll either work with what I have or change to a diferent theme. This blog is for fun, not business. The last thing I need is to add another project to my crowded schedule! :)
