Problem with Contact Page in Theme: Basis
-
Hi there. I’m using the theme BASIS. I’m trying to set up the contact page with the default template, inserting the address by using ‘address’ in the drop down menu. when I press update however, the address appears with too wide apart spacing.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there!
I do not see the Contact form anywhere on your site! Could you please either direct me to it, or if you’ve removed it, add it back so I can help with the troubleshooting of the spacing problem?
Also, I wanted to confirm you had these instructions:

Thanks for your reply.
I’m not trying to create a Contact Form… but simply setting up a Contact Page via Default Page – actually listing address, email etc.for the meantime I had a jpg’ed address.
but I reversed it so you can see the spacing problem.thanks

Also, while we’re at it… I verified my domain ownership through google html link…. yet it still shows up as: mind-index.com instead of http; or http://www.mind-index.com
thanks so much

Hi again!
I’m not trying to create a Contact Form… but simply setting up a Contact Page via Default Page – actually listing address, email etc.
for the meantime I had a jpg’ed address.
but I reversed it so you can see the spacing problem.I see. If the trouble is with the spacing between the lines, try this solution:
Open you contact page in the editor by clicking here:
https://mindindexmagazine.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=215&action=editDelete everything aside from your image.
Click on the Text tab (next to the default Visual tab).
Underneath the HTML code that contains your image, simply paste:
Mind Index Content Creation Studio
Uferstraße 3, 13357 Berlin
(email visible only to moderators and staff)
+49(0) 176 1055 1266Click back to the Visual tab and make any formatting adjustments you’d like.
Also, while we’re at it… I verified my domain ownership through google html link…. yet it still shows up as: mind-index.com instead of http; or http://www.mind-index.com
Per a note on our Mapping a Subdomain page: “WordPress.com automatically removes the “www” from all URLs. Mapping the “www” subdomain is not supported.” So, unfortunately, I cannot help to make that request possible.
If you have further concerns or questions, I can help. Thanks much.

hi – great that worked!
yes, another question: how do I determine the short description underneath the url in a google browser page? at this moment, when googled, the description reads the info from the previous launchrock site I had it linked to. I did delete the account with launchrock and with that all information.
thanks again.

Hey there,
Fabulous! Glad that worked for you :)
how do I determine the short description underneath the url in a google browser page?
Google takes 4-6 weeks to index new information. What you’re seeing is saved, “cached” text that it has gathered in the past from your previous site. My recommendation is to try to expedite the indexing-situation by verifying your site using Google’s Webmaster Tools:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/#google-webmaster-tools
Also, here’s a bit more info about search engine optimization and your WordPress.com site:

Hi there again, I’ve got another question.
I’m not happy with the layout of the posts site of my current BASIS theme. so i was wondering whether I could incorporate i.e. the theme: CLEAR NEWS into my current website as a blog template.
Or is there a better solution?
Thanks a lot.

Hey there!
You can only use one theme per site. There isn’t a mix-n-match option. If you’re interested in previewing other themes, you can do so without activating them. It’s nice to be able to take new themes for a test drive.
Simply go to this link:
https://mindindexmagazine.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.phpWhen you hover over a theme, you’ll be given the option to see a demo, activate, or preview it. Previewing = temporary. Activate = permanent change.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!
