problem with domain

Hello. i made a domain name with Godaddy.com called adventureswithkaela.org which i added to the website i made on wordpress. But the website that was created is adventureswithkaelaorg.wordpres.com and when i search google for adventure with Kaela, some one else’s website comes up with that domain already used. Is that something that can be fixed? Is that something i have to contact Godaddy about? I’d even be fine with changing the domain, I’m just unsure about how to go about fixing this issue.

You’ll need to follow the steps in the links below to map your GoDaddy domain to WordPress.com site.
So when people type adventureswithkaela.org they will visit your WordPress site and see ‘adventureswithkaela.org’ in this address bar.Keep in mind this cannot be done with the Free plan.

Is your site about your young daughter? If so, it appears as though you have mapped adventureswithkaela.org as a subdomain of the site adventureswithkaela.wordpress.com/ . See here to further explain mapping a subdomain: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-subdomain/
Is this your information? https://www.whois.com/whois/adventureswithkaela.org . If so, you own the domain.

It may take a while for your website to be indexed by Google and show up in the results.
