Hello there
Last week I’ve bought a domain from wordpress (from helixspores.wordpress.com to helixspores.com)Straight to the point is; ever since i’ve bought the domain name, i’ve been waiting for the url for dashboard admin from ‘helixspores.wordpress.com/wp-admin/’ to ‘helixspores.com/wp.admin’ but there is no changes since.
Is there something that i missed? Please help me to look up from it
thanks

On WordPress.com, custom domains, like helixspores.com, must be associated with WordPress.com sites, like helixspores.wordpress.com, where your content is actually hosted.
When administering your site, you will always see helixspores.wordpress.com in the browser’s address bar. Your site visitors will never see this.
For more information about the differences between domain registration, hosting, and mapping, please see our page All About Domains:

well ok – but i’ve talked to the other person on the other day.
and this is the chat from last teausday -
If you’re trying to use your WordPress.com custom domain with a site you have hosted elsewhere, you can point the domain you registered at WordPress.com to another server (hosting service), with these steps:
You’ll need to obtain the name server values from your current host. You should be able to find them on their support documentation, or contact them and ask for the information. (Name servers may be referred as “nameservers” or “NS records” instead.)
If I’ve misunderstood the issue, or if you have any other questions, please let me know.

However, when i went to GoDaddy.com it said i have to put the transaction ID and how can i use the authorization info in this method? This is really bad for me because of the waiting game and i cant get refund for wordpress’s domain name
What should i do now? :(

Hi xxx,
Earlier it sounded like you wanted to point your domain to hosting services at HostGator. You can do that by visiting this page:
https://helixspores.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
Click “Edit Domain,” choose the “Name Servers” tab, and then setup custom name servers. The custom name servers to use changes site-to-site on HostGator, but you can find out what yours should be here:
http://support.hostgator.com/articles/what-are-my-name-servers
Once you make those changes, it takes up to 72 hours for the DNS changes to propagate, but then the domain will pointing to your self-hosted site at HostGator instead of WordPress.com
But your most recent message sounds like you want to transfer the domain to GoDaddy. This is a very different process.
Transferring a domain means you’re changing the place where you own, configure, and renew the domain. You’ve owned the domain helixspores.com for 6 days. According to ICANN regulations, domains cannot be transferred until they have been owned for 60 days. But once you’ve owned it that long you can transfer it to GoDaddy if you wish following these steps:
In order to start using the domain on a self-hosted site as soon as possible, the name server method is what you want.

Hold on one moment. Does wordpress have a hosting service. I know i used a link on this webpage to purchase a domain name, for a website i made on wordpress. Was there ever any need to purchase another web host so we can hold files and publish things like images and scripts. If you do have hosting services, what are your plans, or do i already have one.

do you guys have FTPS service so i can sell my products without disregarding this domain and going to pay another 200 dollar somewhere else, sorry i should have been fully involve in the website administration, do not mean to waste time.

My product needs to be on the market with a web domain within a week. helix-spores.com (complete instant change) or helixspores.com (current which my email tells me there is a 72 hour FTP transfer to host gator or something. I dont really care about these. I need my product up for sale. Quickly. Any advice that can get my product up for sale within 72 hours is GREATLY appreciated. But i prefer a response within 24 hours that tells me how to get my product up for sale within 24 hours, either writing off this whole gator+wordpress confusion and grabbing an instant package, or letting the process smooth itself out. WHich one is quicker. Thank you.

Hi there!
I just visited your domain and I reached your WordPress site at Hostgator:
Now that you’re self hosted, we can really only help so much. If you need more involved help with your site, you’ll need to pop over to the WordPress.org forums:
There is also a jobs board here:
It sounds like you want FTP access to your site, which you do have with Hostgator, but you’ll need to contact them about how that works as we are no longer your webhost.
Does that clarify things? Let me know if you have more questions.

Hello there – past few days, i tried to continue using the domain and by using the hostgator.com FTP – i uninstalled the wordpress files/plugins and started using Weebly.
Things went well until i noticed that whenever i checked HelixSpores.com (Weebly layout) sometimes it directed to HelixSpores.com (WordPress layout)
I’ve contacted the Hostgator staff about the same problem Twice and it doesnt seem helpful
It seems like HelixSpores.com (weebly) has some sort of overlapping with HelixSpores.com (wordpress)
I wonder if I delete the original wordpress domain address (Helixspores.wordpress.com) could solve the problem or transfer the domain to somewhere else??
I tried to put helixspores.com (wordpress) on private and it worked on most pc i have (weebly website displayed) except 1 and it said that i had to log in wordpress to view the website

I just checked on site24x7.com for the IP addresses
S. No. | Domain Name | IP Address
1 | helixspores.wordpress.com | 192.0.78.13
2 | helixspores.wordpress.com | 192.0.78.12and another one:
S. No. | Domain Name | IP Address
1 | helixspores.com | 192.185.42.186I would like to wonder if this is the main cause of the problem and I would like to solve it

If you’ve decided you want to use your domain with a Weebly site rather than a self hosted WordPress site you can do that, but you’ll have to point the domain to Weebly. Here’s how that works.
