Problem with editing screen

    Entering the editing screen reloads the page and sends me back to the home screen . This happens despite browser cache being empty.

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    What browser are you currently using? And just to completely rule out this being a browser issue, can you log into your site using a different browser and see if the reloading issue still persists?

    I have tried editing on Brave and Chrome. Both are the latest version. I can only edit if I save a new page as draft.

  • Can you share the URL of the page (or the title of the page) that is having this issue? Is it the blog page?

    I’ll take a look and see if I can pinpoint the issue on this end. Also, have you tried publishing anything else to no avail? Or is it just this particular page that is having issues?

    I can publish new pages. I can edit new pages if they are saved as a draft. I cannot edit published pages. (I cannot edit the site)

    After clicking on ‘Edit Site’, halfway through the loading process, it transfers me to the ‘Almost ready to launch’ page and then I end up on the home page.

    Usually when an issue like this occurs, it can be traced to an expired (or broken) login auth cookie stored on your local web browser. It looks like you are using Google Chrome as your browser, so with this in mind I would like you to try the following

    • clear your cache and cookies based on the steps google recommends here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050
    • Also make sure you are not blocking any “3rd party cookies” as explained in that guide as well.
    • If you continue to have loading issues after completing those steps, I would like you to try another browser instead, like Firefox. Are you able to proceed if you use a browser other than Chrome?
