Problem with feature images with Syntax theme
-
Syntax theme is not displaying the feature images after clicking through to the post. They are displayed on the main page without a problem, however.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Stewart,
This is actually the expected behavior of the theme. You can read more under “Featured Image” on the theme documentation here:
https://wordpress.com/themes/syntax/
You can see this in action on the Syntax demo here:
http://syntaxdemo.wordpress.com/
The post “Recent Good Reads” displays the featured image on the home page, but it does not appear on the individual blog post.
Please let me know if you need anything else!

That was not something that occurred to me. Thanks for clarifying. Any chance this will change? It’s a great theme for a tablet and smart phone world, but posts with only a feature image look pretty dull once people click through.

Hey Stewart,
I don’t think this will change as it was a planned “feature” of the theme. One solution would be to switch themes. The Hemingway Rewritten theme looks pretty similar and is shown here:
http://hemingwayrewrittendemo.wordpress.com/
That features the featured image in the header. Would that work for what you’re looking for? Feel free to look around and let me know!

Funny you mention that, I did actually experiment with Hemingway as well. Long story short, my blog’s long title made the header too bulky (and purely stylistically, I liked the serif font better).
All in all will probably stick with Syntax for now, and find ways to spruce up the text as necessary. Thanks for the prompt and helpful responses!

Not a problem Stewart! If you do want to try a different theme in the future and have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
