Problem with featured image

Hello all,

I’m using the new Nuntius theme and when I set the featured image, it says the largest I can make the image is a width of 560 (via the “full size” option, “large” isn’t able to be clicked), even though every image I try is larger than that. Just trying to figure out what I’m missing.

p.s. I didn’t select an applicable blog for two reasons: (1) It’s set to private and (2) I doubt it matters.

Also, the reason I want it to be larger than that is because to use the featured news slide show the image on the sticky has to be at least 640 wide, thanks.

It does in fact matter and that’s why the support bot was created. All themes here are only for free hosted WordPress.com blogs. Themes with the same name for WordPress.org blogs are coded differently to run on that software which is not the same as our software. Some days up 30% of those who post here are posting to the wrong support forum and ought to be posting to http://wordpress.org/support instead. So please post the link to the blog in question every time you post to these forums, regardless of the blog being “private”, as Staff do have backend access to blogs. Thanks, in advance, for your cooperation.

P.S. Linking your blog to your username is easy to do. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

Figured out the problem! I only had one sticky with an image, that’s why it didn’t show up, thanks though timethief, you’re always helping me out!

@mrsportsfansblog: The size options (or any other option of the image popup) apply to images you insert in a post the regular way – not to featured images. For featured images the only thing that matters is the dimensions of the original file you upload.

@mrsportsfansblog, I’m glad you were able to resolve the issue. I’ve made an edit to the Nuntius showcase instructions to clarify the that the slider requires at least two sticky posts before it will appear on the News Page template. Nice blog and color scheme, by the way. :)
