Problem with featured images in Penscratch theme

  Hi,

  I have recently changed to the Penscratch theme (from Suits) and the featured image shows on some of my posts but it missing from most of them. Am currently having to add the ‘featured’ image to beginning of the body of the post. Surely this defeats the purpose of a featured image? Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

  Is it missing from posts on the front page and it’s continuation as “older posts,” only? According to a recent forum topic titled Where is my “Featured Image”? – Penscratch, a feature image will not display on the isolated post page, only on the posts or “blog” page.

  Thanks for replying.

  I was scheduling a post for later in the week and when I previewed it, the featured image wasn’t there. Will it only appear when the post goes live?

  You are right in that the featured image is not displaying on ‘older posts’.

  According to the topic linked to above, it doesn’t appear on the post itself except on the posts stream. That means it displays only on the front page, if you have posts set to display on the front page, and it’s extension “older posts.”

  The scheduling is irrelevant with regard to the featured image.

  Are you still having an issue with the display of featured images on your posts page? If so you may flag this topic for Staff attention by adding a “modlook” tag in the sidebar to the right.
