problem with font size on home page
-
Most things are working fine with my new blog but suddenly the font sizes on the front page (and the font styles) are all over the place – mostly way too big though one lead-paragraph on a post is too small. Two questions: what did I do wrong and, more importantly, how do I put it right?
-
Thank you – live and learn, I guess. You know, the warning against Word could be offered somewhere prominently – perhaps as part of a “key tips” feature that you see when you go to add or edit a post – I can’t be the only person who’s ever written in Word and pasted over. But, again, thanks.

No you’re not the only one: we get that a lot, of course.
Better prepare your posts in a simple text editor, or in Windows Live Writer. If you have to paste from Word, do it via the “Paste as Plain Text” Button – or paste in the html editor, not the visual. For the posts you have already published, highlight all the content in the editor and click the “Remove Formatting” button: that will remove some of the junk.

You wouldn’t need to leave a link to your website if you linked it in your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forums. (And there is no www in your url)

I don’t think I transferred anything from Word, and yet I see not just my home page, but everything, also my dashboard and the stats, in small letters and so narrow that the stats curve does not fit in completely but stops at around February 2. — I have been reading some other blog and the font size seemed normal. — Maybe it is just a temporary problem.

It was the zoom! The zoom was on “smaller”. It took two clicks to bring the blog size and the stats curve back to normal. I had never seen this before.

the fonts in my sidebar were way too small… didn’t know what happened. Please help! :(
