Problem with Google mobile friendly site

I’ve been testing this site on Google’s mobile friendly tester (https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/) and am finding that the full blog domain (http://clynelaw.wordpress.com) passes while the main domain that is used does not (http://clynelaw.com). After searching around a bunch, I get the impression that this may be a product of the domain mapping rather than the actual site design itself. Is that correct?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You are using a retired theme. I suggest you switch and use a responsive layout theme. See here for 34 free Responsive Layout + Professional WordPress Themes https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/professional+responsive-layout/?sort=free

The mobile ready theme is default and a completely different theme that you do not need to enable at all.

A responsive layout theme adapts to different screen sizes so that your website will work (and be optimized for) iPhones, iPads, Android and other mobile devices. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.

As I said above the mobile theme is a completely different theme. When we use a responsive theme we disable the mobile theme. Go to > Appearance > Mobile and disable the mobile theme

That bring said, what you describe and what I witness ie. the two URLs producing different results sounds funky to me so I tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up. Hi there! This is happening because your domain is not set up correctly. To set up your domain and fix this problem you’ll need to do two things:

    1. Log into your domain registrar and change your name servers to these:

    • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

If you’re not sure how to do this, please contact the support team at your registrar.

    2. Purchase a domain mapping upgrade for your domain.

It can take a few hours to fully update, but that should get you working right. :)
