Problem with how my posted links look.

I am very new to WordPress, and am having a frustrating problem. I’m trying to create a very basic page to serve as a portfolio for some of my freelance writing work. In my attempt to include a page with several links to my work, some links (the ones to some of my work on a wordpress.org hosted page) look different than others.

Why is there a small black bar beside and extra space after the hairstyle page links, and how can I remove these elements?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

The last two links look different because they are marked as Blockquote. You can change it by editing the page where those links appear. Try “selecting” one of those links (with your mouse). You’ll see that the Blockquote symbol is “pressed”. If you’ll “unpress” it it will change to a regular text. You can create regular links by selecting a piece of text and then pressing the small chain symbol.

You can find some more detailed help on this here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/links/

Best of luck with WordPress! It takes some time to get the hang of it but I think it’s worth it!
