Problem with image upload

I’m trying to upload a .jpg file, nothing special as to size or format, and while the visual editor page goes through the motions and knows the name of the file afterwards, it seems not to have made the journey to the server — I get the little red icon we all know and love so well.
I’ve emptied my MSIE caches and histories and restarted my PC. Still the same non-result.
We’ve seen this one before? The only difference I can see this time round is there’s a ‘you can upload different types of file if you buy more storage’ link (I’m running at 40% of my base allowance).

I have nothing to base this on but I speculate that there are some updates or something going on in the background and that things will settle down soon. There are others having image upload and display problems as well.
If it persists, I would suggest contact support Mon-Fri 9am-5pm Pacific time at: http://wordpress.com/contact-support/ , or using the “support” button in the upper right of your dashboard.

Hi, the problem there’s on ALL new posts (or pages already online that I would modify adding images) I wrote since yesterday.
Images no uploaded. Only the famous red cross.
I’ve tried with different images (size and format) on different posts, on different pages (new or not).
I see “can upload different types of file if you buy more storage” link (I’m running only at 4% of my base allowance) too. So I think there’s something new on WP… and something’s gone wrong :)
I don’t understand the link about “disappearing post” referenced above… sorry but my english is not so good! :)

I’ve seen the thread about posts (id=18241) but I don’t understand…
1) The post talk about posts disappeared
2) The thread is closed.
So I guess I have to contact support to explain my problem with maximum of information I’ll can give…

I’m seeing images in a lot of your posts, and I don’t see any red x’s anywhere in the first 5 pages of your posts.
Try this: log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, and then log back in. Also try viewing your site while not logged in.
I think this is tied in with the problem referenced in the link provided by timethief as quite a few people have been experiencing posts and images appearing and disappearing.

Hi, The support answer me. They told me are fixing the problem. :)
In my online post there aren’t problem, I know. The problem is only when I upload a new image (it never appears as uploaded on wp so I don’t publish the page or the post to avoid a rec cross on it).
Now I’m wait for the fix.
