Problem with Images for "Related Posts" on Blog

  Under “Related” posts on each blog post I have, images are supposed to come up with each link per the settings I have selected. However, for any post that I’ve used a slideshow, no image appears at all. I use the “Suits” theme. Any reason why this is happening?

  Hi there,

  According to a Staff’s explanation:

  We will use the featured image as the thumbnail if it exists otherwise we will fallback to the first image in the post body.

  So it looks like WordPress does not count slideshows as a featured image or a regular image, and so it’s not displaying any image on your case.

  This could be a good idea/feature request for WordPress.com, but for now I think the only possible workaround is to either add a featured image or a regular image.

  In your case, I *think* if you want to go with the regular image route, the image doesn’t have to be placed up top (because it might clash with the slideshow). You can put it somewhere in the middle of your post or at the end, and WordPress should recognize it. Hope this helps!

  Interesting. Thank you for this advice. I’ll definitely keep this in mind for future posts and will go back and see how I can incorporate images differently so that all related posts do appear with images.
