problem with lateral bars in colinear theme

In the image of the demo of colinear theme I can see some lateral bars with widgets in the right, but when I edit my website I only can put widgets in the botton, in the footers.
Why is it happening?

Colinear has a few different sidebar options (examples on the Colinear page). It looks like you’ve chosen a single sidebar on the right at the moment, but you can change that under My Site > Customize > Theme Options.
To add widgets, use My Site > Customize > Widgets and choose the sidebar you want – as long as a sidebar area is visible on the current page, you can add widgets to it :)

But the problem is that any sidebar option I choose, go below the page and never on the side

What kind of device are you using to view your site? Is it a computer, or a tablet/cell phone?
Colinear has a responsive design – so on small devices that don’t have room for a sidebar, the widgets shift to the bottom. If they didn’t, your site would become too narrow for anyone to read without zooming and scrolling :)
