Problem with links after site re-direction
-
We have re-directed our site from wordpress.com to a new domain. This has cause two problems with links:
1) In the original site, links to posts included dates, for example:
https://clodietaldan.wordpress.com/2020/02/06/post-name
in the new site, the link structure excludes dates, for example:
https://clodietalblog.com/post-nameNow, if people find a post in a search engine, they are redirected to a non-existent page:
https://clodietalblog.com/2020/02/06/post-name
2. We have changed category names, and now former category pages are being re-directed to non-existent pages.
What can be done with these problems?
Many thanks!

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.

You would need to install a 301 redirects plugin to redirect old URLs to new URLs, something like this plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-301-redirects/
I hope this helps.
