problem with mapping domain

  Hello,

  I’m trying to map kahvilalohi.fi, which I own, to an existing wp.com site, but whenever I go to Domain Mapping > Map a Domain Name You Already Own and I add the url I get this message: “Sorry but kahvilalohi.fi has not been registered yet therefore cannot be mapped.”

  Name servers is allready changed to ns1, ns2, and ns3.wordpress.com.

  Can you please help me? Thanks in advance!

  Hello again,
  When I read more I noticed that wp-staff is needed to this kind of problems. Now I have added tag “modlook”. I hope somebody notes this message and can help me.

  Hi there,

  I have added a zone record for your domain. In some cases this is enough, so can you please try mapping it again?

  If it still won’t work, let me know and I can try to add it manually for you.

  Hi there,

  I have added the mapping and set the domain as your primary domain.

  The mapping will expire in ten days, so you can pay for the first year by renewing it on the Purchases page:

  One more problem. Now email is not working anymore. Where I can change the nameservers for email? Is it also something what only wp staff can do?

  You can do that yourself, but I’m happy to help if you run into any trouble.

  Click on My Sites ->Domains

  Then click on your mapped domain. You should see an option for Name Servers and DNS. Select that and you’ll see the option to add any DNS records you need for your email to work.

  Hello,
  I tried to do this, but I am not sure where to put which information I got from my email provider:

  kahvilalohi.fi MX 0 mx.kahvilalohi.fi.cust.a.hostedemail.com TTL 300
  mail.kahvilalohi.fi CNAME mail.kahvilalohi.fi.cust.a.hostedemail.com TTL 300

  There are MX and CNAME put can you help me to but those in right places?

  It looks like you had already managed to add the MX record. I have added the CNAME for you as well. Your email should start working in a few hours.

  Let me know if you’re still having any problems with that.
