Problem with mapping permission
-
I have to redirect or map http://thechattahoocheereview.blogspot.com/ to http://www.the-hooch.com. I’m getting a message that “Other subdomains of this domain are registered to another user at WordPress.com so you can’t use it for your site. Only that user can register other subdomains.” We had a different WordPress blog but deleted it; that could be causing the problem. How can I set up our blog so that if someone types in the first address on Blogger they will be taken to http://www.the-hooch.com on WordPress?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Within blogspot there may be a forwarding process which will allow visitors to be redirected to an external site, however in order for you to make use of that you will need to contact support at blogspot. We aren’t able to assist with that, I’m afraid!
If you find that there is such a service, you should just be able to enter the-hooch.com as the site which you’d like your blog to forward to. Any issues with that forwarding however would still need to be directed to blogspot, as we have no control over it.
Best of luck!

Thank you – I figured it out! For anyone else, if you want to re-direct your blogger address to another blog at another address (if you want someone to land on a new site when they type in your old site’s address), you have to edit the blogger template. Once you log in to your blog, click template, then click edit HTML. After the head tag on line 4, type “<meta content=’0;URL=http://www.the-hooch.com/’ http-equiv=’refresh’/></head>
obviously replacing the hooch address above with the site you want. That works! Now we don’t have to purchase a re-direct service! :) -
Excellent! Thanks so much for that additional information!
Hope you have a great weekend!
