Problem with menu

  I am using the “My Life” theme. My site is here:

  I was trying to rearrange my menu so that the “Memoirs-When the Sandstone Crumbles” page would become a parent page, with the “Excerpt” and “No Greater Love” appearing as drop-down items underneath (in that order). I tried following instructions given here:

  but they don’t seem to be working. Plus–in the course of trying to fiddle with all this, the “Home” menu item now seems to be malfunctioning. It seems to link to whatever page you happen to be on when you click it. Or in other words, when you click “Home” all it does is refresh the page you are on. Can anyone please help?

  There are two approaches.

  Custom menu Troubleshooting – My pages are in the wrong order
  Check the sub-pages themselves to see if you have established a Parent page and child page “hierarchical structure” in the page attributes module. Remove if required.

  Also remove any “order” numbers you have assigned that may conflict with the order you are creating by dropping and dragging. Or simply change them so they are the same order as you establish in the menu. Establish consistency – problem solved.

  Thanks, I got the menu items and sub items nestled the way I wanted them. For a while it seemed like I was still having trouble with the “Home” button. It was still doing the same thing, just refreshing whatever page you were on when you click it. But I seem to have solved that by adding the url in as a “custom link.” I don’t know if that’s supposed to be the prescribed remedy or not, but it does seem to be working, at least for now.
