Problem with mobile site
-
Hi there,
When I click “enabled” for the mobile theme option, the mobile site has a nice look initially, but when I go to a different page and try to go back to the homepage through the menu, it only shows up with my social media menu. In other words, on any page other than the homepage, the social media menu replaces my regular menu. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Thanks!
Courtney

Hi Courtney –
Thanks for reaching out about this question. I am able to see exactly what you are experiencing.
Which device are you using and what browser?
When I first load the site in my browser via my iPhone and Chrome the only menu items listed are your social media items.
If I scroll to the bottom of the site and switch to full site view I can see the regular menu as it appears on my desktop.
I need to do a bit more investigation with the menu issue and I will report back to you here. For now, you can access the full site menu by toggling between the mobile site and full site views.

Update:
It looked like you enabled the legacy mobile theme versus using the responsive layout of Natural. I’ve adjusted this setting and now the site looks like it is showing the correct menu. Can you confirm?

Hi there,
I do want the legacy theme because it makes the paragraphs of my pages (ex. Faculty) look a lot cleaner. The pictures look positioned better and it’s more readable. Is there any way to have that feature enabled with a regular menu?
-
This is a legacy feature that is not actively supported or recommended with responsive themes, like Natural. My suggestion is to use the responsive layout in order to show the correct menu in mobile view.

I am having hard time getting the correct menu to show up in mobile view as well. What can I do fix this issue?

Is there any way to adjust the placing of the images through mobile CSS? The “Faculty” page just looks very messy

vantapdance – You can use CSS to style images differently, specific to a mobile size screen.
The text around the images does vary in the mobile view on vantapdance.com/classes/faculty/ I’ve gone ahead and worked on the formatting of this page. Please let me know what you think.
You will find the following code added to the CSS section of your Customizer.
@media screen and (max-width: 480px) { .page-id-129 img.alignright { width: 100%; } -
That’s great, thank you! I also noticed this problem with other pages, such as the Competitive and Performance Programs page, the Recreational Youth page and the Spring Camps page on mobile. Can we make the CSS code hold true for all pages? The Our Mission and Donors pages have an odd alignment as well.

Good Morning –
No problem. I’ve added the CSS to all pages on the site with the following bit of CSS.
@media screen and (max-width: 480px) { img.alignright { width: 100%; }How does that look?
If you’d like me to add to only individual pages I can do that, please respond with a list of the pages you need to see the changes on. Thanks!

Good Afternoon,
The Competitive and Performance pages are still odd at the TapCo and Competitive Teen Program sections. Everything else is perfect!
-
Thanks for the update. I’ll need to do a bit of investigating on that. I’ll post an update here.

Hello –
I’ve made some small adjustments to the images in TapCo and Competitive Teen Program sections on the Competitive and Performance page.
Can you give it a look and let me know what you think?
