problem with pages

  I want to set a static page as my front page for the main blog portal (for a group of blogs: blogs.tol.org). Is there a way for me to still have the blogs page on the page widget?

  Also, I’ve tried to delete the two pages that are there several times and can’t seem to do it. They keep on appearing, and prompting me to register a blog in that name when I click on them, but on the “manage pages” page, they are not there. I’m lost! :)

  Is this the blog your are talking about http://soidisantfille.wordpress.com/ ?

  I see three pages listed in the tabs at the top. Home (which is the main blog page and cannot be deleted). About and one other I cannot read the name of that you can delete by going to manage > pages.

  These other blogs you refer to are hosted by http://blogs.tol.org/
