Problem with Parent/Child page
-
My blog is u3astowmarket.wordpress.com comprising pages only. I made the ‘Groups-News’ page a child of ‘Groups’ and made a hyperlink from there to the URL for ‘Groups-News’. This seemed to work fine as the ‘Groups-News’ page became hidden until accessed by the link in ‘Groups’. The problem was that, in addition to the information I’d posted on the child page, copies of all other my pages were added to the bottom.
In edit mode, the was no sign of these, just the original text as entered. For the moment I’ve reverted to ‘Groups-News as a parent, but I’d rather have it (and eventually others) as a child but without the addition of other pages at the bottom.
What have I done wrong and how can I correct it.?Any help appreciated. Thanks

Well, at the moment I can see the page Groups-News as a parent page. I looked through all 8 pages and couldn’t find neither a link to a subpage nor other pages at the bottom. Difficult.
I don’t think anybody can help without being able to actually see the “wrong” page. -
As I said above, I’d changed back ‘Groups News’ back to parent. I appreciate that you need to see the problem. ‘Groups-News’ is now a child of ‘Groups’. The link to the child, Groups-News is the word ‘News’ next to the words ‘Country Strolls’ on the ‘Groups’ page.
If you check now you will see the problem — all the other pages are reproduced at the bottom of the child page.
Bear with me I’m still learning! -

OK, it’s because the link to the child page is wrong. Change it
from:
http://u3astowmarket.wordpress.com/group-news/
to:
http://u3astowmarket.wordpress.com/groups/group-news/
(the parent-child relationship must be reflected in the url). -
