Problem with photo images when creating a new post

Normally when I write a new post with photos, the photo image shows up in the “text part”, which allows me to visualize how the text and the photos look like together.
However, since this weekend when I am preparing a new blog, the photo image does not show up in this text part. Instead of the system inserting a photo to the post I am preparing, it now insert several lines of text…! (but when I go to the preview, the photo does show up. I know bc I just posted something tonight).
This becomes a problem because as I said above, I do like seeing how the text and photos “interact” and look like together!
Moreover, it does the same thing when I try to put something bold.
What could this be? Thank you in advance!

Are you in the Visual Editor or the Text Editor when this happens?
What it sounds like to me is that you switched to the Text Editor view and didn’t realize it.
If that’s not the case, please let me know and I can look into this further for you!
