Problem with Pingbacks from my blog to my blog

Earlier today I did a Digest post linking to all the posts I’ve done in October [not very many as I was too busy!]. http://carocat.co.uk/2007/11/03/the-october-07-digest/
I published the post.
The first pingback to the first post appeared immediately. http://carocat.co.uk/2007/10/31/blame-halo-3/#comments
It didn’t create any pingbacks to the other posts.
A couple hours later I went back and edited the Digest post as I had forgotten something and when I saved it it sent a pingback to the the next post. http://carocat.co.uk/2007/10/30/im-going-to-be-busy-in-the-next-few-months/#comment-18414
The timestamp shows the difference in the time.
When I edited and saved the digest post again it created the pingback for the other posts with each time it’s saved.
Is that the normal behaviour of a pingback that a post only sends one at a time?

When I create a post that has links to several items (not on my own blog mind you), it pings all the posts that I reference. So it only did the first one until you edited the post and then did a second? That is really strange.

I have seen this happen before on my blog when I referenced two of my own posts, but didn’t pay much attention to it..

I hate to be bumping my own thread, so sorry for that..
1. I’ve been meaning to contact support about this, but I haven’t found support open whenever I was online.. Just to check, support is open between 9am-5pm Pacific time mon-fri, correct?
2. I’ve still got this problem as outlined in the first post. I find it hard to believe that I’m the only one who has this problem, but maybe I just misunderstand pingbacks…
I’ve created this post within the last hour which links to six posts on wp.com and two on selfhosted wp blogs: http://carocat.co.uk/2007/11/12/blog-community-writing-project-update-1/
Three [don’t ask!] of those go to the same wp.com blog, but different posts and they only appear one by one if I continually edit/resave the post.
Surely all of those pingbacks should go out at the same time?

Contact them for sure as I have a post that was supposed to ping 3 of my other articles and only 2 were sent…….thus far :)

yeah after i edit the post the pingback usually comes, if it doesn’t when i first publish it.
