Problem with Polish letters in Firefox

  I’m using Firefox 14.0.1 to write posts on my blog, but since few days I can’t write Polish letters (for example ż, ś…). I can make it here and on other places where I need to write texts, but not in the panel for my blog. It seems as these same shortcuts are used for Polish characters as for other functions. I need to use alt+z to write ż, but using this shortcut I receive shorter/greater icons toolbar in the text window. No problem using Google Chrome. Could you help me?
