problem with …/portfolio

  Hi

  I’m using twentyseventeen.

  I was looking at “Portfolio Projects”, but found out that my static page called portfolio is all I need.

  I had to rename my old page to test “Portfolio Projects”.

  Now I unchecked “Portfolio Projects” again (on …/wp-admin/options-writing.php), and renamed my static page “portfolio” and its permalink manuschwendener.ch/portfolio.

  But when I click on portfolio in the menu, I stay on my main page.

  If I rename my static portfolio page, everything works as expected.

  I’m no expert, but I completed my own portfolio a couple of weeks ago. The one thing I know — if you name the page with a name reserved for system use, problems occur. Reserved names include portfolio and sitemap.

  For me it wasn’t a problem before I tried “Portfolio Projects”, only now that I want to reverse it.

  Hi there,

  By removing the portfolio page from your main menu and re-adding it solved the problem. Can you please check it and let me know it’s ok?
