Problem with publicize not working on a group blog

We’re having a problem getting the publicize feature to work properly with our blog. We have a group blog, so there are (going to be) several authors/editors etc. Publicize is working fine on my account (the administrators) I would like to have it set up so that all posts are automatically publicized to the same location, but i guess currently it’s set up so that each author is sets up the publicize options for their own posts. Anyway, whenever one of the other authors (not me) makes a new posts, the option on top comes up saying “try publicizing”. However, when they click on this option, it sends them directly to their main Dashboard page and not to Settings —> Sharing which is where they need to go to publicize their posts. They also can’t get to Settings —> Sharing from their dashboard because they are not administrators. Is there any solution to this problem?
    Thanks for your help.

This sounds to me like you need Staff intervention. Here’s the link to use to contact them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

I generally recommend doing the Publicize functions manually. A little known fact is that Facebook downgrades autoposted material and so if you manually post a link to FB its’ far more likely to show in your friends’ news feeds. That’s what you want, after all, and you can add a snazzy headline to it when you do it that way as well. It takes thirty seconds, but is SO worth it.
