Problem with recent posts not appearing on the blog

I am using the Matala theme and have published 6 posts. However, every time I download the blog, only the very first post I made in April appears on the screen. The other posts show up on the right-hand column under “Recent Posts.” I’ve tried to change the settings, but nothing works. I find it hard to believe that this a feature of the Matala theme that can’t be changed, I just can’t figure out how to change the settings! Thanks!!!

What do you mean by “download the blog”?
If you want more posts to be displayed in the Recent Posts widget then go here . Appearance > Widgets and click the Recent Posts widget to open it, change the number of posts to display, click “save” and “close” inside the widget.

Thanks for replying so quickly. However, your suggestion to open the Recent Posts widget and change the number of posts to display still did not correct the problem I am having. The recent posts are being displayed on the right-hand column, however they are not being displayed in the centre column where they are more visible to viewers visiting the site. The only post displayed when when you first visit the site is my very first post dated back in April. I don’t know how to make my recent posts display above my first post. Thanks!

trying another browserIf those do not work for you then we need to know
(1) how you are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com. The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. Thank you! I checked 3 computers at this school and all did not show these posts in the blogging space, but am at a different school today and they all appear in the space. So I will try what you suggested.
