problem With Returning To Original Site

Here’s the situation. I have come on-board with this company, and am tasked with maintaining the website.

Recently, we had made the decision to move the site to wordpress.org, use a 3rd party host and use a different theme. Due to some undetermined technical issues, we were not able to transfer the files from the old site to the new host, so we decided just to build the new site, from scratch.

After much consideration, we decided that we were happier with the old site, so we went to our domain registrar, GoDaddy, and changed the nameservers back to wordpress.com. For a brief while, we had the old site back, complete with all of our old files and content. Then, the site reverted back to the new theme and content.

We just want the original site, with the original content, subscribers, etc. back.

    Can someone please help?

it can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to reach the far corners of the internet – changes start sooner but you can have erratic results for a while

What is the name you are moving?

    Thanks, auxclass.

    We are moving realstoryblishing.com.

Do you think that we will recover all of the data from the old site, when the propagation completes?

The domain name you posted does not work – but realstorypublishing.com loads fine to a WordPress.COM site – with the top Post – “Reprise of Monday Morning Water Cooler Talk for March 19, 2012”

All your data etc should be fine unless you deleted it – it is just in limbo – you will also probably be the last one to see the changes

    Thanks, again!

Chalk up that inaccurate web address to poor keyboarding/typing skills! Thanks for figuring out what the correct address is!

It has been very frustrating! It’s like playing a form of Russian roulette – sometimes, when I refresh the screen, I get the old version, sometimes the new.

I will try to have patience, Master.

You be welcome & good luck

The first domain I transferred I had to call a friend up and have them look at the moved site –
