Problem with sequence of posts
-
Some older posts have appeared on front page. Some newer posts have gone back. The sequence of posts is totally messed up. Help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have you used the “sticky post” feature in any of the posts so affected? When we hear of situations like this that’s usually the cause of the problem. The correction is to edit the posts and remove the “sticky post” indicator. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/i-want-a-certain-post-at-the-top-on-my-blog/
If that’s not the case in your case then please post again and Staff, who unlike forum volunteers answering questions, do have backend access to blogs one of them will take a look at your blog and rectify the problem.
Best wishes for a happy outcome :)

Thanks for replying. I’ll try what you suggested but I thought using “sticky” is good as it makes the post available right on your home page. I do that for every new post. Any leads?

Yes – please srop doing that it’s completely unnecessary and is the source of your problem. Not all posts can be made into “sticky posts” if you wish to have your blog function like a blog. In a blog the most recent post is always displayed on top by default, and the “sticky post” function overrides the default. You can easily fix this problem yourself and prevent it from happening again. Edit the posts and remove the “sticky post” designations from them.
Also note that if you have content that is static and rarely, if ever changes that you wish to bring to reader attention the correct way to treat it is to publish it in a Page, rather than in a Post.

Best wishes for happy blogging. :)
