Problem with sharing settings

Hello! I used to have Facebook like counter under each post on my blog . Recently that button changed name to “shares”, but numbers in old posts still reflect “likes”. For personal reasons I prefer to see how many people liked my posts, than shared it. Is there any possibility to fix it?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m afraid not. We’ve recently updated our official Facebook button style to match the behavior of the other sharing buttons, so there isn’t a way to get the old one back.

The benefit of this change is it makes it much easier for your readers to share your posts on Facebook which should increase the size of your audience.

Thank you for such a quick replay. I don’t have a problem with size of my audience. Don’t worry about that. And please be sure that my readers are smart enough to know how to paste link on their Facebook profiles. Although, I do have a problem – with WordPress, and your disappointing changes. First statistics, now this. Every modernization you made recently, from my point of view, is a big misunderstanding. It was so convenient to see amount of likes under the posts. As a writer and blogger it’s important to me, to see how many people appreciated my work. Like is not equivalent of share. Those are two different things.

I agree with freestylevoguing; it is a terrible change and not the equivalent.

@nikkixobg there is additional absurd in this change. Yesterday I’ve posted my last publication on my Facebook fan page. I’ve noticed that even the button is labeled as “shares” it still shows amount of likes, what is completely confusing.
