Problem with tags

  Hello,

  In the APPEARANCE section of the dashboard, it is possible to add Widgets to the site. I used to associate Widget using the visibility option “Show if …” and I chose a tag only present on the desired page. Except that today I try to do the same thing but all the last tags that I added to my articles do not appear in the list of “visibility”. Any idea ?

  Second problem with the tags, it happens very frequently that the tag “featured” disappears when I modify an article, is this normal?

  Hi @cygurd, the tag should show up if the post is published. Can you let us know what tag you’re trying to use if it isn’t working?

  For exemple here (https://filmexposure.ch/2017/05/29/conan-le-barbare-opera-monde-narratif/) I can’t find the tag “Basil Poledouris” (are any tag in the article) even if the article is published.

  Hmm, there might be an issue with too many tags. I noticed you have quite a few tags that only appear one time in all of your posts, too. This one only appears in this one post.

  Can you let me know what end result you want? Perhaps we can suggest another way.

  I want to put a widget (text for a playlist spotify, like here : https://filmexposure.ch/2016/06/30/nifff-2016-john-carpenter-compositeur/).

  And my second problem is with the tag “featured” who disapears frenquently.

  @cygurd got it – so you write about the author, then put a widget in the sidebar to go specifically with that content? I suspect you’ve hit some kind of maximum that is causing this problem for you. I can dig into that deeper but if there’s another way that may be better.

  Have you thought about embedding in the post itself so it won’t be missed on mobile platforms and what not?

  Ok, I can find an other way to put the playlist.

  But what about the problem with the “featured” tag ?

  @cygurd I am guessing if you reduce the number of tags on the site, that will help, or it might be that you have “hide tag” checked in Customizer > Featured Content.
