Problem with the theme on WordPress homepage

I’m relatively new to WordPress – my brother has a website using WordPress. The theme he has created is not applying correctly. I’m not sure what I need to do to correct the problem. I can send you screenshots of the theme (how the website is supposed to look)
The web url is http://www.hitchengroup.ie The icons below the moving picture of the skyscraper are supposed to be horizontal but fall vertically. Basically, it’s all over the place. The main picture is smaller than what it should be. I’d need to show you the picture of the theme so you can get a better understanding of the problem.

Your site at hitchengroup.ie is hosted through a third-party company while this forum is intended for folk who have their sites hosted here at WordPress.com.
The fact that hitchengroup.ie is running on the free software available over at WordPress.org may have led you here.
The difference between the two types of WordPress (WordPress.com and WordPress.org) is a common and understandable point of confusion. If you’re unsure of the differences, then this guide gives a good overview.
As your site is hosted elsewhere, staff here at WordPress.com aren’t in the best position to offer in depth help but I have an idea what the cause of the trouble is: I could not find a link to the theme’s style.css file in your site’s source code. The style.css file contains CSS, which controls the way your site looks.
I recommend asking your brother to make sure that style.css is being correctly called in the theme. The WordPress Theme Developer handbook may be a good point of reference for him:
