Problem with theme and ‘more’ tag

I have a problem with my theme. The tags and number of comments including ‘edit’ button doesn’t display after the latest/sticky post.

I just changed my theme from ‘Ambiru’ to ‘Emire’.

By the way, I have been trying to use the ‘more’ tag for my posts but it doesn’t even show up. I’ve read the Support in WordPress but nothing seems to point me to the problem.

    My blog is: http://nekonome.wordpress.com/

Emire is a strange theme and only displays the post metadata (tags/categories/comment link on the first post. If you click on the title of the older posts, it opens the single-post page and on that page, the tags/categories are shown.

On the more tag issues, I just did one on my test blog with Emire and it worked fine. Make sure that when you put in the more tag, that your cursor is on a blank line (like it will be a separate paragraph) or it will mess things up for you.

By the way, the way Emire operates was the choice of the theme designer.

Another thing, how can I apply Text Widgets to my sidebar?

About the issues above, thanks a lot. That really clear a lot of things up :D

At appearance > widgets simply drag a text widget from the “available” section to the sidebar section. Make sure and move it around a little till the grey outlined box appears before releasing the mouse button. Once you add it, it will automatically open so you can put stuff in it. Later, to add stuff, click on the right end of the blue title bar for the widget.

Thank you! You really saved my day, changing from the old simple layout to the new one with sidebars was slightly difficult but thanks again! :D
