Problem with themify builder in child theme
-
Hi,
I am very new to coding and designing and don’t really have much experience with WordPress. I have created a child theme of Themify Ultra and everything was running smoothly (-ish). After downloading the Caldera Forms plugin and making some forms, the builder started having some trouble. It seemed like every time I open it the whole page scrolled up and did not let me edit anything. Most of the times the pages looked blank. So I deactivate all plugins but nothing changed. Then I change to the original theme and the builder started behaving normally again. I changed to my child theme again and the problem came back. I don’t understand what’s going on. I read in another forum someone was having a similar trouble with another child theme and they fixed it by changing the header to visible or something like that, but I couldn’t understand what exactly did they mean. Does anyone has any idea what might be going on? Does Caldera Forms need any special permissions maybe? -
Hi there!
It sounds like your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so we can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
