Problem with thumbnails, suddenly they changed (Theme: Modularity Lite)

    I’m sorry if its posted in the wrong forum part.

    I’ve never had a problem with the thumbnails at my photo-blog but suddenly about a week ago they all changed to the same width. But still different heights.

    How do I change it back?

    The settings under “MEDIA” have always been and are:
    Thumbnail Size: width:300 height:300
    Medium Size: 300×300
    Large Size: 1024×1024

    It says “The sizes listed below determine the maximum dimensions in pixels to use when inserting an image into the body of a post.”

    What might be the problem? If I change the Thumbnail size the thumbnail size to 600×300 the width does not change. Its really strange.

    How to make my thumbnails the original ratio again?

    They at support does not really understand what I mean so I did two images that explain it really well.

    Tell them that the gallery doesn’t acknowledge the no-sidebar option when it comes to thumbnails: it constrains thumbnail width to the same maximum it does when the sidebar is enabled. Tell them they need to correct the CSS of the theme.

    The Medium size option works as it should, so in the meantime switch the post editor to HTML and change the gallery shortcode to this:

    [gallery columns="3" size="medium"]

    At last a good answer! Thats exactly what I thought was the problem(not exactly but some setting in the CSS of the theme that has been changed. :D)

    Where should I change the HTML shortcode? Next time I make a post?
    Because if I edit a post and change it from Visual to HTML it just says:
    [gallery orderby="ID"]

    I will tell him at support what you told me when he sends me his answer to the one with the pictures.

    You’re welcome.

    I meant getting rid of the problem by editing the posts you have already published. Change this:
    [gallery orderby="ID"]
    to this:
    [gallery columns="3" size="medium" orderby="ID"]
    Same thing when you make a new post.

    PS Let me know what the genius from Support will say this time.
