Problem with time/date config

  I can’t for the life of me, display the correct date on my blog. I selected Chicago as my timezone (I live in St. Louis.) It shows up as a day ahead (right now, it says it’s the 4th when it’s the 3rd.) I’ve tried other cities, too. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
