Problem with uploading plugin where do I find my wp-content/plugins/folder?
-
1. I have tried to upload 2 external plugins, but a message comes up at the end saying – The plugin does not have a valid header! What do I need to do/ how can I rectify this?
2. Where do I find my wp-content/plugins/folder?
Please (if you can), give me step by step instructions. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs like the one linked to your username and we cannot install individual plugins or third party themes into them. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

Thanks for your reply regarding my plugin problem. However, I have a ‘self-hosted’ website on WordPress, so surely they should work? I did know about the ‘free-hosted’ sites/blogs not supporting plugins, but as I say, mines is ‘self-hosted’.
Could you also answer my question about ‘where do I find my wp-content/plugins/folder if you can?
Thank you.

As WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate sites your question must be answered here > http://wordpress.org/support/ and you can register a username account on the top right hand corner of that page in order to post to that forum.

If you are uploading plugins that come up with that error, stay a million miles away from them as they were written by serious amateurs and could contain huge security issues that could compromise your site.
Seriously!!!!
And, go to .ORG as timethief says.
