  i am trying to take off ipage from the back of my domain name

  If you are referring to something tike this…
  http://www.mydoman.wordpress.com/backofmydomain
  Then the backofmydomain is a page or post you need to delete.
  But you need to give more info about your problem.

  From word press dashboard settings I deleted ipage.com from the back side of my website hodgepodgeebookscomipage.com After I did this, I lost my website and my word press dashboard. Can you please help me. Thanks

  Hi there, this forum is actually for WordPress.com support.
  WordPress.org support is more for self-hosted sites. Your site http://hodgepodgeebookscom.ipage.com/ is a site on ipage.com
  You need to contact ipage.com support to help you recover your data.

  The only way to get rid of the ipage.com part is to register a new domain.
  You could have your site at WordPress.com.
