Problem With Website
-
Hello,
I’m extremely confused about my wordpress site. I used to have just a free blog at southasasif.wordpress.com and I was very pleased with the way it worked. A few months ago I decided to upgrade it to a website. I set up a few pages as a test and left it under construction. At the moment, I need to activate the original blog again but I can’t seem to get it right. I made the posts page my homepage and reverted all the other pages to Drafts. They’re gone from the menu in Design mode, but when I look at the actual website, they’re still there. How can I revert to just the blog and keep the other pages invisible until I’m ready to release them? I can;t find the answer anywhere.
Thank you,

Hi Katherine,
I’m not sure what you’re looking for. Can you please provide a bit more detail?
All posts on your site are currently set to draft, or are published as private, meaning they’re only visible to you. So the posts page won’t work properly at this point. As your entire site is already private, only you and people you specifically invite can see it, so I recommend you go ahead and properly publish your content, as “public”, so that your site will work the way it’s supposed to. That way you’ll be able to see how it will actually look.
It also appears you had the page titled “News” set as the posts page in the Customizer (under Homepage settings) at one point. You’ve since set the homepage settings back to Latest Posts, but if you select the Static Page option, the News page is still set in the background. I suggest you completely clear that setting as well, as it seems to be interfering with what your front page should display at this point:
