Problem with WordPress app for Mac (OSX)

  I clicked on My Sites but the left sidebar menu would not refresh. I can access Reader though.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yup! Same here. I reverted to going to wordpress.com via Chrome browser for now.

  Here I can’t use the app with Ubuntu Linux but via Chrome browser it works. Things break sometimes; it’s normal. Someone will look into it.

  @gemmacevans: I tagged this thread with modlook because it looks like more people are experiencing the problem on Macs, for example today:

  It is broken on Win10 as well. Same issue. I’m also using the beta version – same problem. Clicking “My Sites” leads to this:
  Before I click “My Sites”: http://imgur.com/a/4DJld
  After I click “My Sites”: http://imgur.com/a/Iynvn

  and nothing else happens until the end of time. The app is not frozen or not responding, I can still use it for the Reader. But I don’t really want it for that, do I :)

  Same here. By Jan 9, I already reinstalled the desktop app for Mac twice and still broken.

  Hi everyone,

  Sorry to hear you are still having problems!

  I’ll speak to our developers about this. It would be great if you could let me know the following:

  1. What version of the app are you running? On a Mac, go to WordPress in the menu bar at the top of the screen –> Select ‘About WordPress.com’
  2. Are you using the Beta or Stable version of the app?

  I tried with both the latest stable user release for win 10 as well as the beta. Both lead to this issue.

  Just had the app freeze while writing a post. The edit screen went white and won’t come back. Lost the entire post. I’ll stick with using the browser.
