Problem wtih slideshow

Hi,
Our slideshow galleries have started showing incorrectly today and we can’t figure out why. Up until today they have been showing correctly on every post but the images are now cropped.
We haven’t changed anything, has wordpress updated something?

I am having problems with my slideshows as well… very slow to load, cropped photos, not loading at all. I would appreciate assistance please. My website page http://laevans.ca/photography/, plus a new website pending launch, called DISH on the ‘about DISH’ page, which I don’t want to supply the link to here. Your speedy response time is important to me. Thank you.

@jgh008- I’ve tagged this for Staff input to see if there is something going on behind the scenes.
@buddybreathing-As far as slow loading, the images that you are displaying in the slideshow are quite large both in terms of pixel size and weight (4MB+) and are subsequently being resized to fit the slideshow. Resizing those images yourself in an image processing program prior to uploading will not only help load times, but also maximize the 3GB of free space you have.
I didn’t come across any landscape images that were cropped.

Thanks for getting back so quickly, Jennifer. The cropped images were showing up yesterday at DISH, on the About Dish page… that slideshow most definitely was not showing full images, but perhaps it is now? Actually, I see now that I look again… I couldn’t load a slideshow yesterday, so after several attempts, I chose to use a gallery instead. So, I couldn’t upload a slideshow at all, and prior to that, the images were being cut off.
I do not have any means to resize the photos at this point. Does WordPress allow me to choose the resolution size anywhere? My websites/blogs are all very photo heavy and that will not change unfortunately.
Also, is there somewhere indicating how much of the 3GB remains please?

I don’t wonder if there isn’t some tinkering following another forum post about the slideshow navigation buttons appearing on top of the images. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/change-in-slideshow-navigationcaption-visibility?replies=14 So let’s wait for Staff to reply on that point.

OK, thanks very much. I have started another thread specific to photo resolution and data. I will stand by regarding the slideshow question.

I looked at both of your slideshows and I’m not seeing any odd cropping. Is the problem still occurring for you?

@lizthefair – Have a look at this post on the OP’s site

@jgh008 – It looks like this is a result of some styling from the Cubic theme (also happening on the parent theme, Boardwalk). I’m passing this along to our theme developers so we can get this fixed up!
