Problems adding a .pdf file

    Hi

    I am trying to put a pdf file onto my website, so that visitors can download the pdf document.

    I have tried two methods without success:

    1) loading the document into the media library, then copying the file URL and putting it as a link.

    2) Using the add media button, directly from the page – clicking ‘file URL’, then ‘Insert into post’.

    The file is a document containing music manuscript. it is 157 kb in size.

    Either way, it doesn’t work. If the page goes blank and seems to hang. If I am lucky, I get an error message saying ‘zero sized reply’.

    What am I doing wrong?

    1) generally works for me. Give us the URL of the FILE itself, so we can confirm it works.
